JBT Marel Corporation (NYSE: JBTM; Nasdaq Iceland: JBTM), formerly John Bean Technologies Corporation, provides global technology solutions to high-value segments of the food and beverage industry; the Chicago-based company, founded in 1884 and headquartered at 70 West Madison Street, designs, manufactures and services cutting-edge systems, equipment, software and integrated solutions for processing meat, seafood, poultry, pet food, further processing applications including ready-to-eat meals, shelf-stable packaged foods, bakery products, juices, dairy, fruits and vegetables; offerings encompass poultry processing systems, meat processing systems, fish processing systems, portioning and trimming, mixing, coating and marinating, freezing and chilling, high-pressure processing, water jet cutting, X-ray technology, packaging systems and automated guided vehicles, with operations spanning sales, service, manufacturing and sourcing in more than 30 countries across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. The company, which traces its roots to John Bean's 1884 orchardist venture in California, derives roughly half its revenue from recurring sources including parts, services, rebuilds and leasing. In January 2025, JBT completed its acquisition of Marel hf., changed its name to JBT Marel Corporation and commenced trading under the new JBTM ticker on both the NYSE and Nasdaq Iceland, creating a unified entity with complementary portfolios to enhance food yield, efficiency, safety, quality and sustainability across the global supply chain; prior moves include 2022 acquisitions of Alco-food-machines for expanded food processing lines and Bevcorp for beverage equipment and support.
